Tourism Queensland elects Media-Tracker™
16 Nov 2009Tourism Queensland is set to replace its legacy solution for managing famils with ICS’s off-the-shelf product, which is used by all the other State and Territory Tourism Organisations in Australia.
Media-Tracker is a web based management tool, designed to meet the needs of Government departments in the Tourism sector, which manage visits to a region.
The key roles of Tourism Queensland – destination management, industry and market development, international and domestic marketing and tourism policy will be supported through the use of Media-Tracker in delivering the Queensland Government’s tourism program.
ICS named as a finalist in the 2009 Tasmanian Export Awards
10 Sept 2009ICS has been named a finalist in the Emerging Exporter Award category of the 2009 Tasmanian Export Awards. The award in this category recognises the outstanding export achievement by an enterprise in any industry sector which has been exporting goods or services.
The Tasmanian Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts, supported by its sponsors, are responsible for managing these awards. The Tasmanian Export Awards recognise excellence in exporting by Tasmanian enterprises and are acknowledged as one of Tasmania’s prestigious industry awards. The Awards acknowledge the important contribution that Tasmanian businesses make to the local economy through job creation and increased prosperity in the community. The Tasmanian Export Awards program plays a key role in the development and enhancement of export culture in Tasmania.

Supported by the Tasmanian Government, the ©-STAR Award recognises the achievements of the state’s science and technology entrepreneurs and highlights the importance of the commercialisation of local innovations. Specifically, it recognises businesses or individuals for their preliminary success in commercialising a science and technology product, process or service.

Department of Health and Human Services selects Grants-Tracker™
27 July 2009Grants-Tracker™ has been selected by the Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services as their Grant Management System for community sector funding.
It will be implemented in the Office for the Community Sector and will support the effective and efficient delivery of grant payments to fund a range of community services within Tasmania.
Tourism Victoria chooses Media-Tracker™

Parks-Tracker™ Goes Live in Singapore
27 May 2009Phase 1 of the Singapore National Parks Board (NParks) installation of
Parks-Tracker™ has gone live this morning and is now being used by NParks staff.
Parks-Tracker™ is a web-based management tool developed specifically to meet the needs of government organisations charged with managing land and water environments for their natural values. It offers NParks a single point of entry on the web for all users to share information and collaborate in effectively and efficiently collecting, maintaining, analysing, reporting and enquiring on key information.

Targa Tasmania Participation
27 April 2009Targa Tasmania is an iconic tarmac rally event in Tasmania. It consists of competitive stages on closed roads for the exciting touring of sports and GT cars in the world. It is an annual event, held in April each year.

ICS visits Berlin to Raise Awareness of Media-Tracker
31 March 2009ICS’s Executive Director, John Colegrave has just returned to Hobart, after a week in Berlin, promoting Media-Tracker.
John attended ITB while he was there, which is the world’s leading travel trade show. ITB Berlin attracts a whole variety of travelling: destinations, tour operators, booking systems, carriers, hotels and more. With more than 180,000 visitors, among these 108,000 trade visitors, and over 10,000 exhibitors from 180 countries ITB Berlin is the leading B2B-Platform of all tourism industry offers.
John met representatives from Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Scandinavia, Spain, India, Las Vegas, New York and North Carolina.
ICS are Winners at the Tasmanian ICT Industry Awards
17 November 2008ICS is thrilled to announce it took out the eSolutions category of the 2008 Tasmanian ICT Industry Awards on Friday November 14.
The eSolutions Award was presented to a Tasmanian company that has successfully demonstrated and applied a mix of ICT technology products or solutions to enhance eCommerce, eBusiness, eLearning, eHealth or eGovernment etc. There must be demonstrable benefits to individuals or to a population sector.
TASICT is the peak industry body supporting and representing the interests of Tasmanian ICT business.
AustCham Singapore Business Awards 2008 Winners
17 October 2008ICS is thrilled to announce that it is the winner of the Austrade New Exporter Award category in the AustCham-Austrade Business Awards 2008. It was awarded to an Australian business which has achieved excellence in exporting a product or service from Australia to Singapore for the first time in the previous year. This award looks at first time exporters to the Singapore market.
The AustCham Business Awards are highly acclaimed in the Asia-Pac region, and is fiercely competitive. ICS was up against many other Australian companies.
The awards are sponsored by Commonwealth Bank.

2008 Tasmanian ICT Industry Awards finalists
14 October 2008ICS is a finalist for the eSolutions category of the 2008 Tasmanian ICT Industry Awards.
To be eligible for awards the company must be a Tasmanian based business with the majority of its business development activities and commercial exploitation of ICT products, processes and/or services originating within Tasmania.
The eSolutions Award will be presented to a Tasmanian company that has successfully demonstrated and applied a mix of ICT technology products or solutions to enhance eCommerce, eBusiness, eLearning, eHealth or eGovernment etc. There must be demonstrable benefits to individuals or to a population sector.
2008 Tasmanian Export Award Finalists
6 October 2008ICS has been notified it is a finalist in the 2008 Tasmanian Export Awards. The program, run by the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, is the state’s highest recognition of excellence for companies exporting goods and services, and is held in high regard throughout the world.
In addition, the program is an integral part of the prestigious Australian Export Awards, with state winners qualifying for the national finals later in the year.
Tasmania can be justly proud of its record of export achievement. These awards provide recognition for this success, raise awareness of the vital contribution exports make to the state’s economy and provided a catalyst for companies to reach even higher levels of excellence.

ICS Keeps Singapore Green
8 July 2008ICS is pleased to confirm a successful tender win with the Singapore National Parks Board (NParks). In collaboration with our Singapore partner NEC, we will provide our biodiversity and parks management software product, Parks-Tracker, together with our knowledge management module, Knowledge-Share.
As a packaged solution, combining Parks-Tracker and Knowledge-Share will provide NParks with a powerful application which will satisfy all of their requirements.
The Singapore Project was assisted by a grant from the Intelligent Island Market Access and Partnership Program, which is funded by the Australian Government and is administered by the Tasmanian Department of Economic Development.
Grants-Tracker chosen by The Singapore Ministry of Health
7 May 2008The Singapore Ministry of Health has chosen Grants-Tracker as its total Grants Management solution as the result of a competitive tender process.
Grants-Tracker will manage the Ministry’s medical research grants, allowing greater efficiency and transparency throughout the life-cycle of the grants.
The Singapore Project was assisted by a grant from the Intelligent Island Market Access and Partnership Program, which is funded by the Australian Government and is administered by the Tasmanian Department of Economic Development.
Parks-Tracker tested at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
Wednesday 20 February 2008The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens is the latest to sample the benefits of Parks-Tracker as its total-management system.
The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens boasts historic plant collections and a large number of significant trees, many dating from the nineteenth century.
Parks-Tracker will play a significant role in the management of these collections.
Media-Tracker goes live at Tourism Northern Territory
31 January 2008Media-Tracker has been launched at Tourism Northern Territory (TNT) after completion of user-training and favourable user-feedback.
The selection of Media-Tracker as TNT’s primary tourism and visiting journalist program solutions product will allow comprehensive management and greater return on investment for TNT.
ICS demonstrates products at G’Day USA
22 January 2008The ICS product suite has been demonstrated to US-based organisations during the G’Day USA Australia Week Program, 2008.
ICS Executive Director, Ian McDonald, said “US federal and state park management authorities have been quick to realise the benefits that Parks-Tracker and Grants-Tracker will bring to their daily operations.
“The World Bank and United Nations also understand how Parks-Tracker can assist with protected area management programs in developing countries.”
Parks-Tracker launched at Port Arthur Historic Site
16 May 2007The first stage of trialling Parks-Tracker for the management of the Port Arthur Historic Site has commenced.
Parks-Tracker will allow comprehensive management of the site, ensuring long-term sustainability of one of Tasmania’s greatest historic icons and tourist destinations.
