History

ICS is a software development company which has grown steadily for over 14 years, specialising in providing sophisticated, web based enterprise solutions for both government and private organisations. As a result of our commercialisation strategy, which was started in 2002, ICS has built a valuable bank of re-usable intellectual property and strong technical capability.

Based on a long record of success with some of Australia’s most respected companies, including Tasmanian Alkaloids, Liferaft Systems Australia, Tassal and Blundstones, ICS developed a national reputation for its 2nd generation Enterprise Resource Planning systems. This software integrates all departments and functions into a single uniform system, allowing business unit managers to share information across departments, location and time zones. The information is securely accessible via the web around the clock. This market space is, however, extremely competitive.

ICS then focused on government organisations and entered the niche, but lucrative, tourism and parks management sector. The product set developed, the Tracker Suite, provides for better managed reserve systems (land and marine), and the conservation of natural and cultural heritage, European and Indigenous, botanical and artistic heritage, while providing for sustainable use and economic opportunities for local communities through tourism activities. These products have been developed in collaboration with key customers in Tasmania.
